Pathos is an expressive yet beautifully harmonious Koroneiki. Expect intense green fruitiness with notes of fresh grass, green apple, artichoke, green pepper and almond. The clear bitterness develops into an elegant, lingering pepperiness.
Passion you can see, feel and taste
The Greek word Pathos represents passion, devotion and complete dedication. For this olive oil, the name is no coincidence. The organic Koroneiki olives grow in Crete at the northern foot of Mount Psiloritis. They are harvested early and taken to the mill within hours, where the oil is extracted at a temperature below 24°C.
That attention continues beyond the oil itself. The distinctive 500 ml bottle has been designed both to protect the oil and to be seen. Its form refers to the olive, the tree and the harvest. Pathos therefore feels less like an everyday food product and more like an object you are proud to put on the table – and even happier to give.
Pathos is made from 100% Koroneiki grown in organic olive groves in Kavalaria, Korfes Malevizi on Crete. The landscape at the northern foot of Psiloritis creates a distinctly Mediterranean terroir. The producer deliberately chooses early harvesting and rapid processing. The olives reach the mill within hours and are cold extracted below 24°C to preserve as much freshness, aroma and character as possible.
An award-winning organic Koroneiki
Over the years, Pathos has received awards at numerous international olive oil competitions, including NYIOOC, Athena IOOC, Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards, London IOOC, Olive Japan and TerraOlivo. The packaging itself has also received international recognition.
It is also an olive oil with very low acidity and a high polyphenol content. Pathos therefore brings together three qualities you want from a premium Extra Virgin olive oil: technical quality, a distinctive sensory character and a presentation worthy of what is inside the bottle.
The appeal of Pathos lies in the details. The distinctive bottle protects the oil from light and was designed as a reference to the olive and olive tree. The stopper and luxury outer carton have also been chosen to make opening the gift an experience in itself. Pathos hardly needs additional wrapping: the gift presents itself.
