We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with parties that are necessary for operating our webshop, processing orders and providing our services, or where we are legally required to do so.

Webshop software, customer accounts, orders and technical services.

Processing and handling of online payments and associated transactions.

Name, address and, where necessary, contact details for delivery of orders.
WebwinkelKeur
Customer reviews, review invitations and, where applicable, dispute mediation.

Business e-mail and electronic communications.

Sending and managing newsletters when you have subscribed.

Financial administration, sales invoices and bookkeeping.

Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager for statistics, conversion measurement and advertising, depending on your cookie and consent choices.

Where a service provider uses other parties or processes data outside the European Economic Area, the applicable legal safeguards and data protection arrangements apply.

4 · PAYMENTS

Secure processing of payment information

For online payments we use Lightspeed Payments. To process a payment, the required order, transaction and payment information is processed by Lightspeed and the financial service providers involved in the selected payment method. De Olijfolie Shop does not necessarily receive all underlying payment information, such as complete card details.

5 · SHIPPING

Information required to deliver your order

To deliver your order, we provide the necessary personal data to the carrier. This generally includes your name, delivery address and, where required for delivery, your e-mail address and/or telephone number. We mainly use PostNL and may use other carriers for certain shipments, such as DHL or Van Eck Transport.

6 · CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Reviews via WebwinkelKeur

We use WebwinkelKeur to collect and manage customer reviews. When we invite you to leave a review, we may share information such as your name, e-mail address and information necessary to link the invitation to your order with WebwinkelKeur. If you submit a review yourself, WebwinkelKeur processes the information you provide in accordance with its own privacy policy.

7 · NEWSLETTER

News and offers by e-mail

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your e-mail address and, if provided, your name to send news, information and offers. We may use Mailchimp to send our newsletters.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. We will then stop sending newsletters to that e-mail address.

8 · COOKIES & MEASUREMENT

Functional cookies, statistics and advertising

Our website uses functional cookies that are necessary for the webshop to work properly. In addition, depending on your consent choices, cookies and similar technologies may be used for statistics, conversion measurement and advertising.

We use services including Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. Technical information such as IP address, browser information, device information, page views and interactions with the website may be processed. Where consent is legally required, your choices made through cookie or consent settings are respected.

9 · RETENTION PERIODS

We do not keep data longer than necessary

We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are legally required to retain it for longer.

Administrative records and invoices: generally 7 years where required by Dutch tax retention obligations.
Customer account: for as long as the account is used or until deletion is requested, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
Correspondence: for as long as reasonably necessary for handling and any follow-up.
Newsletter information: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
Cookie and analytics data: according to the applicable settings and retention periods of the services used.
10 · SECURITY

We handle your data carefully

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. Access to personal data is limited to persons and service providers who need the data for their work.

11 · YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

You remain in control of your personal data

Where the GDPR applies, you may request, among other things:

We may ask you to provide sufficient proof of identity where necessary to prevent personal data from being disclosed to or deleted at the request of the wrong person. We generally respond to privacy requests within one month.

Dutch Data Protection Authority

If you have a question or complaint about the processing of your personal data, we prefer you to contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

13 · AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING

De Olijfolie Shop does not make decisions that produce legal effects for you or otherwise significantly affect you solely on the basis of automated processing of personal data.

14 · CHANGES

We may amend this privacy policy if our services, systems used or applicable laws and regulations change. The most recent version is always available on this page.
