With this collection, Miceli & Sensat demonstrates beautifully that organic production does not imply one particular flavour style. Each oil has its own character, shaped by the olive variety, harvest timing and the way the producer chooses to express the fruit.

Delicato represents the soft and elegant side. U’Ciuri is refined and distinctly Sicilian. Verde focuses on freshness and green intensity. And Único forms the powerful pinnacle of the collection: a Sicilian Picual that has now established itself among the absolute international elite.

Único is the flagship of Miceli & Sensat and perhaps the most remarkable oil produced by the estate. It is made from 100% organic Picual grown not in Andalusia, but on Sicilian soil. The result is a fascinating combination: the powerful character of Spanish Picual shaped by Sicily’s climate and terroir.

The profile is intensely green, with notes of tomato, tomato leaf, freshly cut grass, green almond, banana, artichoke and Mediterranean herbs. Powerful and expressive, yet remarkably harmonious.

For the 2025/2026 harvest, Único ranks number 2 in the overall World’s Best Olive Oils ranking. An exceptional achievement for both the oil and the relatively young Miceli & Sensat estate.

U’Ciuri means ‘the flower’ in Sicilian dialect. The name perfectly suits the elegant character of this organic Extra Virgin olive oil. It is produced from Nocellara del Belice, one of Sicily’s best-known and most highly regarded olive varieties.

Green tomato, fresh grass and aromatic herbs define its fresh profile. Bitterness and pepperiness are clearly present, but considerably more restrained than in Único. This makes U’Ciuri refined, gastronomic and beautifully balanced.

The name almost says it all. Verde is all about the fresh, vibrant and green character of young Sicilian olives. An oil with pronounced green aromas, herbal notes and a pleasant peppery sensation.

Stylistically, Verde sits beautifully between U’Ciuri and Único. Clearly more powerful than the most approachable oil in the collection, yet less dominant than the intense Picual. A remarkably versatile Extra Virgin olive oil for vegetables, pasta, carpaccio, soups and Mediterranean dishes.

Delicato deliberately reveals another side of Miceli & Sensat. This organic Extra Virgin olive oil is made with Sicilian Arbequina and has a softer, more harmonious and refined profile than the other three oils.

Almond, lettuce and green tomato bring freshness without allowing bitterness and pepperiness to dominate. This makes Delicato particularly suitable for white fish, fresh vegetables, salads and pasta – yet it can also work surprisingly well with delicate desserts and fruit.

Begin the tasting with Delicato. Continue with U’Ciuri, followed by Verde, and save Único until last. This allows the intensity to build gradually and gives each oil enough space to reveal its individual character.
