1. Garlic bread with character
Slice a baguette and sprinkle generously with our Tarragona EVOO. Crush a clove of garlic and spread a little on each slice. Leave the bottle of olive oil on the table – dipping in this fruity extra virgin is pure pleasure and the perfect start to your BBQ.
2. Fresh summer salads (2 variations)
A BBQ without salad is like a summer without sun. Our favourite: rocket with tomatoes and feta.
Variation 1:
Sprinkle the sliced tomatoes with a good balsamic vinegar and let it soak in. Add to the salad and pour a strong olive oil over it, such as Vassilakis Charisma or Estate (both 100% Koroneiki). Fan-tas-tic!
Variant 2:
Mix in a bowl:
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1 tsp mustard
– 3 tbsp transparent vinegar (e.g. Quince vinegar from Subbética or white balsamic vinegar from San Carlos)
– At least 7 tbsp Vassilakis Charisma or Estate
This vinaigrette binds lightly and gives a fresh, soft kick to your salad. Heavenly delicious!
3. From the grill – pure enjoyment
Meat, fish or vegetables: many people reach for sauces, but a good product needs little.
My tip:
Sprinkle the grilled dish on your plate with a dash of Fleur de Sel and a top olive oil.
– With fish: try the Kavalaria or the elegant Pathos.
– With steak or grilled vegetables: go for the intense Villa Magra Grand Cru from Franci.
Simplicity, but at its most delicious.
